> Additional details
The role works within an established L1/L2/L3 support model, collaborating with network engineers, architects and infrastructure teams to maintain and further develop a modern SD-WAN platform. Responsibilities include handling complex L2 incidents; troubleshooting SD-WAN, routing, connectivity and application performance issues; investigating WAN failures, service degradation and traffic-routing anomalies; performing packet captures, traffic analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA); and contributing to problem management, incident reviews and service improvements.
The role deploys, configures, maintains and troubleshoots Juniper Session Smart Router (SSR) infrastructure; administers Juniper Session Smart Conductors and Analytics; manages SD-WAN routing policies, traffic segmentation and security configurations; supports MPLS, Internet, DIA and LTE/5G connectivity, dynamic path selection, application-aware routing, failover mechanisms, branch connectivity deployments and network infrastructure upgrades; and ensures high availability, resilience and operational performance.
Further responsibilities include developing and maintaining network automation using Ansible/AWX and Python; automating configuration deployment, provisioning, software upgrades, backups and health checks; applying Infrastructure-as-Code principles; working with Git repositories, version control and CI/CD workflows; ensuring consistency with CMDB / Source of Truth systems; reducing configuration drift through automated validation and compliance checks; implementing secure SD-WAN configurations; supporting vulnerability remediation, security patching, network hardening, network segmentation and Zero Trust initiatives; planning and executing network upgrades with pre-checks, post-checks and rollback procedures; and maintaining operational documentation, technical procedures and upgrade runbooks.
Participation in the L2 on-call rotation is required.
