Junior Qlik Sense Specialist

Departement Omgeving develops and supports environmental and spatial policies for the Flemish Region. It is looking for a Qlik team consisting of a Senior and a Junior Qlik Sense Expert to support its business teams. The Junior Specialist will contribute to the preparation, development and maintenance of reporting solutions for policy, progress and evaluation reporting. What we're looking for - Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Qlik Sense - Minimum 1 year of experience with data warehouse modelling - Hands-on experience with NPrinting - Hands-on experience with GeoAnalytics - Basic knowledge of data warehouse security principles - Experience working in a project-oriented environment - Experience with data warehouse modelling or formal training in data warehouse modelling - Knowledge and experience in planning, designing and building data warehouse applications using technologies such as Cognos, DataStage or equivalent - Native or near-native Dutch at CEFR C2 level Nice-to-have - Data warehousing concepts, processes and architectures - ETL and data integration - BI reporting and analysis - Database technologies - Metadata management - Object-Oriented Analysis & Design - UML - Agile development methodologies - Experience within the public sector Additional details The assignment is under a Freelance / Framework Agreement 2022–2027. Start date: As soon as possible. End date: 15 July 2027. The Junior profile represents approximately 60% of the overall support capacity. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Qlik Sense dashboards and reports; supporting policy, progress and evaluation reports; working with NPrinting and GeoAnalytics; contributing to data warehouse modelling, integration, design and development; working with databases, metadata and ETL processes; participating in BI and data warehouse application planning and design; supporting data quality, security and governance; collaborating with business users; documenting functional and technical solutions; and working within an Agile project environment. The dedicated Qlik environment is hosted on Windows and includes Qlik Sense, NPrinting, GeoAnalytics and Vizlib. The technical environment also includes data warehousing, ETL, BI/reporting, databases, metadata, Cognos/DataStage or equivalent technologies, UML and Agile.
