ICT Infrastructure Project Manager – Expert

We are looking for an experienced ICT Infrastructure Project Manager to support a large Belgian organisation operating in a complex and business-critical environment. The consultant will join the IT Infrastructure team and take responsibility for infrastructure transformation projects covering areas such as cloud, security, data centres, networks, workplace and other core infrastructure services. As ICT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will manage complex infrastructure projects from initiation through delivery, coordinating internal teams, external partners and business stakeholders. You will be responsible for planning, governance, risk and issue management, budget and timeline follow-up, while ensuring that projects are delivered in line with technical, operational and security requirements. What we're looking for Significant proven experience as an ICT Project Manager. Strong experience managing complex IT Infrastructure projects. Experience applying project management techniques and tools, including risk and issue management. Experience with Service Management best practices. Experience managing projects involving Cloud migration and/or IT Security technologies and controls. Experience managing infrastructure projects covering at least 4 of the following domains: Compute & Storage, Network, Data Centre, Virtualisation, Hybrid Cloud, Digital Workplace or Telephony. Strong knowledge of security infrastructure technologies, controls and best practices. Fluent English. Fluent French OR Dutch, with at least passive B1 knowledge of the other national language. A senior-level background is expected, ideally with approximately 10 years of relevant project management experience. Strong assets: ITIL certification – minimum V3; Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent; experience with RFI/RFP processes and selection of external partners; experience within the energy / utilities sector; experience working for a Distribution Network Operator; knowledge or experience with ATRIAS. We are looking for someone who combines strong project management capabilities with a solid understanding of IT Infrastructure. You should be comfortable discussing technical topics with infrastructure and security specialists while also being able to communicate clearly with management, business stakeholders and external suppliers. Responsibilities include managing ICT infrastructure projects from initiation to delivery; defining project scope, planning, milestones, dependencies and deliverables; coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders and external suppliers; managing risks, issues, changes and project governance; ensuring proper reporting and communication with senior stakeholders; managing infrastructure transformation and migration projects; supporting projects related to Cloud, IT Security and infrastructure modernisation; applying recognised project management methodologies and tools; ensuring alignment with Service Management best practices; participating in supplier selection and coordination when required; managing RFI/RFP processes and interactions with external partners where applicable; and ensuring projects meet quality, security, budget and timing expectations.
